Howard Davis has been active in the real estate business since 1975. Prior to joining Shiner Group, Mr. Davis was a First Vice President at Equity Residential, a publicly traded apartment REIT. As head of the mixed-use department, he had responsibility for a national portfolio of retail, office and garage properties with a value in excess of $500 million, and evaluated these components as part of the REIT’s acquisition underwriting and due diligence. Mr. Davis served in other capacities at Equity Residential as well, and was involved in the purchase and sale of several billion dollars of assets. For seven years, Mr. Davis was the Chief Financial Officer of The Taxman Corporation, a shopping center development company in the Chicago area.

Mr. Davis graduated from the University of Illinois in 1974 with a degree in accounting and is a CPA. He has served on the boards of the Josselyn Center for Mental Health and the North Center for the Performing Arts Foundation Board. He is a member of the University of Illinois President’s Council. Mr. Davis resides in suburban Chicago with his wife, Leslie, and their children, Adam and Emma.
